This cake was made without fondant at the request of the bride. The only exception is the mosaic tile pattern which matched the bride and groom's wedding invitations. Fresh florals were dipped in Ingenious Edibles Safety Seal and wrapped in undyed floral tape. The floral garland was one piece that was attached to the cake in two places using a technique learned in one of Maggie Austin's courses. Using these techniques, the flowers did not come into contact with the cake which is always one of my fears when using fresh florals.
