This cake I did for a friend's garden wedding. I love how the hand made flowers came out and enjoyed making edible lace for the first time. The flowers are my favorite things to make. The most challenging part was covering the 12" wide 6" high dummy cake at the bottom. After two tries I decided to panel wrap it and had much more success. The flowers were made after watching classes like Romantic Garden Roses and Cherry Blossoms by Nicholas Lodge and Fantastic Filler Flowers by Jacqueline Butler. The arrangement contained hybrid tea roses and rose buds, wild roses, cherry blossoms and sweet peas. The rose petals on the table were also made of gumpaste, and the rose spray I did for the bride as a keepsake.
