a merging of Megan Joy's Bohemian cake design with the current trend of unicorn cakes. Made for my 13 y.o. daughter. the cascading feathers on the bottom tier are placed to look like they are falling from the Alicorn's wings. Wings, and mane are made from merengue, whilst the horn and ears are made of fondant. The top tier is covered in buttercream and the bottom is covered in a fondant/modelling chocolate mix. Painting these pieces was done with lustre dusts mixed with both vodka (horn, eyes, ears) and oil (bottom water colour) and 24k gold leaf has been applied to the wings edges.
