5. Stamped holly cake
Hand stamping designs onto fondant-covered cakes is such a fantastic and quick way to add motifs and details. The bold Christmas cake above features stamped holly leaves accented with vibrant red fondant berries. We love how this effect has created a festive holly wreath surrounded the edges of the cake. You could go a little further and add a little luxury to this design with a gold painted border of fondant pearls or royal icing beads and a brush of glimmering luster dust throughout.

6. Olaf cake
Christmas doesn’t seem to be Christmas these days without an incredibly fun and detailed Frozen cake. This sugar jewel studded creation is such a striking and more grown-up take on the fairytale film in cake form. We love the softly ruffled fondant frills paired with the glistening sugar gems.
Add your own spin on this fabulous cake by creating sugar snowflakes with isomalt and a large snowflake silicone mold before brushing lightly with glittering luster dust (our favorite is the aptly named ‘Snowflake’ by Sugarflair). For a few sparkling decorating ideas, why not even emboss your cake board with snowflake plunger cutters, hand paint the edges of the ruffles with edible silver paint, or cover a tier with silver edible sequins or pearls?
