Baklava Breakthrough

This was my first time working with phyllo dough but Elizabeth's class demystified the process and it was easier than I thought. My husband loved this dessert treatment -- it had a nice balance of flavors and textures, not too sweet, with a nourishing deliciousness. The anise seeds in the phyllo crisps added a subtle, sophisticated dimension to the taste and I really enjoyed the sprinkle of bee pollen on top. The photographs show two different plating arrangements for this dessert.
